What's up beautiful people and welcome back to "Word Up Wednesday"
your Mid-Week Dose of Inspo!
You know, I am realizing that as life progresses and I get older, I am beginning to gravitate towards the simpler things in life. The desire to be somewhere outside of my present circumstances are dying down and the need to pursue things of this world is slowly dissipating. I am getting to the point where I am realizing the power of going with the flow.
I sometimes like to reflect on childhood tv favorites like "Barney" and "Pocahontas" (just to name a couple) and I am immediately drawn to the music as if I am an adolescent sitting in the living room with a bowl of cereal singing in real time.
Let's explore this.
I mean think about it! Barney would sing a song that went something like
I love you, you love me we're a happy family.
Ok... Yeah I remember! Keep going...
Ok so! In my adult life that sentiment immediately draws me to proverbs where "Wisdom" herself tells us how she was God's daily delight when He was creating the heavens and the earth and how she "Loves those who love her" (proverbs 8:17)
(side eyes) Mmmhmm...
Ok, stay with me. I then think about Pocahontas and how wisdom shows up as an old willow tree and we are encouraged to "Paint with all the colors of the wind" - Pocahontas sound track
Right.....
And so naturally when I think of "All the colors of the wind" I immediately think of the "Rainbow". God's beautiful rainbow of covenant and never ending promise to not give up on us which leads me to the reminder that "All things are working for my good".
This beautiful amazing, forever changing life that we get to live is full of promise, covenant, wisdom and love. Worrying about what will or wont happen or who did or didn't is simply a distraction from God's hands all around us.
We are fully equipped with everything we need right where we are, right here, right now.
Take a moment to remember what your inner child feels like. Ask wisdom to shed perspective on you and love her for it. And through it all always remember the "Colors of the Wind" God's beautiful rainbow of promise over you.
Because you deserve to live, A GREAT LIFE.
