"Lacking Nothing!"
Sometimes it's easy to find ourselves seeking the next thing in the name of "happiness and contentment" and always feeling like we are meant to be somewhere other than where we are right now. In some cases there's simply no rest! Just anxiousness, movement and tension.
But, Psalm 23 tells us that when "the Lord is your shepherd you lack nothing". Reader, can you imagine being in a place where not even your thoughts allow you to believe you aren't doing enough? To be in a place where stillness, and peaceful waters reflect your every move and desire?
Well... when we allow ourselves to be led by God, that's exactly what life begins to reflect. You see, a Shepherd handles all of the direction for you. He is the ultimate driver so you can become the ultimate passenger princess or prince, moving from a place of wonder, excitement and possibility. Knowing that you will want for nothing because He will always make sure you are fed, filled and in the realm of overflow.
He is the God of abundance.
If you have been feeling incomplete in any areas of your life, I urge you to identify any false shepherds and let them go from your heart! Ask yourself "who or what am I allowing to shepherd me?". Is it a Job? Relationships, coveting, loss, identity, romanticization, imagery, substance? Whatever it is, know that there is peace when Jesus leads the way for you in all areas of your life. You are exactly where you need to be, just let go! And allow the Lord to lead the way.
May the Lord bless you and keep you all the days of your life. - Paris
