What's up everyone! And welcome back to another Word Up Wednesday! You already know how wonderful it is for me to hop on my Blog and write out my experiences and revelations.
Today, while driving back from the recording studio I noticed these gorgeous, vibrant sunflowers on the side of the road and I said to myself... "well, hello spring".
(side bar) I tried to take a photo but my iPhone memory is so full the camera wouldn't even activate lol. A story for another day!
Spring... The other day I wrote in my planner, "April showers brings may flowers". Now, this winter in Los Angeles has brought many physical rain showers, but on a personal level I've experienced many showers as well. You see, this time 2 years ago I had to say farewell to my best friend, my wisdom, My Grandma Ruth L Fagain.
If anyone reading this has ever experienced a great loss, you understand the waves of grief that hit you at any given time, the disassociation with reality, those around you and the constant battle of "What is life supposed to look like?!".
A great loss shakes up your world in ways the mind could never imagine and while I am not sure I'll ever officially be able to articulate this grief character. What I can say is after two years of feeling it's wrath, I have awaken on the other side. The light at the end of tunnel as they say.
I woke up with this zest for life again. My words are brief, I know.....
I suppose I am hoping that if only one person reads this, I just want you to know that you will breath again. The waves of grief will still smack you at random but at some point breathing, laughing, Joy, Purpose and closure finds it way to you.
Your awakening is on the horizon and with it comes a new path, a better you and the knowing that while life is short, it is well worth living to the fullest. Reflect on the joyous frames with those you lost, and know that it is ok to breathe again. When you're ready.
God Bless, Don't Stress, It's Paris!
